Step 1

Prep & Secure

Start with hair that's at least 80%-90% dry. Brush through any tangles and part hair down the middle. (You can apply a small amount of leave-in product or oil if you want — not essential, but it helps curls hold longer).

Place the rod on top of your head and secure the centre with the claw clip provided.

Step 2

Wrap & Secure

Take sections from each side and wrap them tightly around each arm of the rod, working from root to tip. Continue wrapping each side down toward the ends. Secure both ends with the satin scrunchies.

Pro tip: tighter wrapping = more defined ringlets. Larger, looser sections = soft beach waves. Both are stunning. You're in control.

Step 3

Sleep & Unwrap

Sleep, or wait 3–4 hours. Remove the scrunchies and pull the rod out from the top. Shake out your curls. Walk out the door.

Is it actually comfortable to sleep in?

Most customers say yes, though it takes one or two nights to get used to. The foam core inside the rod is soft and flexible — it bends to the shape of your head. If you're a restless sleeper, a loose silk bonnet over the top keeps everything in place.

Lots of our customers are side sleepers and nurses on night shifts who wear it without issue. If you really can't sleep in it, wrap your hair 2–3 hours before bed instead — the results are the same.
